With the rapid development of the automobile electronic technology, more and more electronic control units are appilied on the cars. Only on automotive body there are so many electronic controllers such as rearview mirror, electromation seat, light, electronic door and window. Large quantity applications of the electronic units on automobile must cause the electronic units communication becomes complicate and higher cost, higher failure rate, increase of wire complexity and so on. However, CAN (Controller Area Network) bus is a serial communication protocol which efficiently supports distributed realtime control with a very high level of security. LIN (Local Interconnect Network) bus is mainly appilied on a low speed serial system in which such characteristics of CAN as high performance, band width and complexity are not needed. Therefore it certainly will be the developing trend that the body control will be based on the network system of CAN and LIN for the automotive network.Aimed at above problems, a design of the automotive light control system based on CAN/LIN bus is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the elementary theories and protocol of CAN2.0B and LIN1.2 bus is introduced. Secondly, an overall solution to the car light control system is presented, then a hardware circiut is designed, which obeys the CAN2.0B and LIN1.2 protocols strictly, including CAN module and LIN module circuits design, at the same time the main chips and their performances used are introduced briefly. Finally, the design philosophy and main flow charts of the software for the system are put forward. After the system design is finished, it is debugged on the automotive light control platform in the laboratory, and the result proves that the control strategy is quite good and high reliability.In this thesis, the design scheme of the automotive light control system based...
