| The weather in Chongqing is hot in summer, cold and humid in winter, where the thermal environment of the building is hostile. Recent years, with the development of economic, air conditions are used more and more in the public buildings, thus result in great increase in the energy performance of a building. As the lack of energy will retard social progress, the building energy efficiency is needed in order to make sure the sustainability and development of the society. With the consideration of energy efficiency in the design of public buildings, the thermal environment of the building can be effectively improved and the energy performance of the building will decrease, which is significant in the energy efficiency of public buildings.In respect of the application of the complicated systematic scientific conclusions, the thesis carries out the analysis of geographic and climate characteristics in Chongqing area and the research of building energy efficiency design both home and abroad, together with the survey of public buildings in Chongqing area. On the basis of using reference to traditional and modern approaches to adapt climate condition in building design, the thesis summarizes various design strategies which can be used in Chongqing area.The thesis consists of seven chapters:Chapter 1: Introduction of the thesis.Chapter 2: Review of the development of building energy efficiency designs both home and abroad.Chapter 3: Analysis the of building energy efficiency design in Chongqing area and the problems.Chapter 4: Chapter 5 and Chapter 6: Main part of the thesis. On the basis of theory study, the thesis discusses the strategies of energy efficiency design in Chongqing area on the layout of public building, environment design, space design, material design and structure design.Chapter 7: Conclusion of the thesis and some expectation of energy efficiency design of public buildings in Chongqing area. |
