The extensive development of China's construction industry has brought great damage to urban environment and has led to the waste of energy, thus constructing a resource-efficient society and promoting eco-energy saving buildings are imminent. Nowadays, Green Campus construction is of more importance in building a resource-efficient society, as core part of the Green Campus, so are the energy-efficient teaching buildings.The designing process of the energy-efficient teaching buildings is passive, as these energy saving strategies must be adapted to the climate of a certain area. Space comfort is another factor that should be considered in design. Also, these buildings are supposed to carry on regional characteristics.This article mainly focus on college teaching buildings in Chongqing, discussing the design of proper climate-adapted energy saving strategies. Firstly, through data analyzing, we studied the particular topographic condition and climate of Chongqing. Then we conducted field research of Chongqing's teaching buildings, hoping to identify their energy conservation issues in relation to architectural features, and then analyze the issues.Secondly, we studied the traditional climate-adapted constructions, gaining valuable experiences through their energy saving strategy design and technology. Based on the researches above, we summed up some energy saving designing disciplines of college buildings in Chongqing.In the Chapter IV, the article begin to seek the design strategy of efficient building from macro, meso and micro. Firstly, analyzing how the mountainous topography affect the environment is to provide the basis for building layout. Secondly, according to characteristics of the sunlight and wind environment in Chongqing, the article discusses the orientation and the distance between the buildings. Finally based on construction of outer space, the article put forward the design strategy of water and plant's planning, which adjust the micro climate.The fifth chapter is on the energy-efficient design strategy of architectural form and space analysis. The article analyzes the effect of building shape coefficient and optimizes the architectural form according to the climate. Then the teaching building space has been divided into primary and secondary in accordance with the different requirement for lighting and ventilation. Finally, proposed optimization strategy for lighting and ventilation has been put forward.In the sixth chapter the detailed structures of building energy efficiency were discussed, including the walls, doors, windows and roof insulation. And the article also probes how sunshades efficiently insulate the light and guide the wind simultaneously.The Chapter VII discusses how energy-efficient building designs on the requirement of the function and aesthetic through the practical project.
