Research On Evolvement And Motive Mechanism Of Urban Land-use Morphology

More population with less land is the special situation of our country. With the acceleration of urbanization, city size expands rapidly, which brings up more and more critical problems related to urban land-use and catches all circles eyes.In China, city planning, taking urban land-use as its core research object, has a parallel development in both architecture field and geography field, and also seeking for the efficacious ways to solve the urban land-use problems in the course of urbanization is the common duty of the two subjects. Due to the influence from subjective (the researchers) and objective factors (subject development), urban land-use study is always divided into two main research field, the configuration study and urban land-use study, and there are even many different schools and theories, which makes it difficult to steering the city planning and construction. These theories are agglutinate, reduplicate and can be combined as a whole with a uniform research platform or learning frame.There are lots of mountain-cities in China. As the only Municipality of the southwest China and the most typical mountain- metropolis, the urban land-use problems of Chongqing are very outstanding. And the course has not only its particularity, but its representative and catholicity. Whereas problems of urban land-use are critical and serious and it is critical and necessary to carry out research on urban land-use, the paper expatiates on the following questions:â‘ The paper sums up the relative studies on urban land-use in the fields of urban planning and geography, and differentiates and analyses the problems in study of the urban morphology and the urban spatial structure. And I think the urban land-use morphology and architecture morphology are two components of the urban morphology research; besides, the urban land-use morphology can include the relative contents of the urban morphology and the urban spatial structure on urban land-use.â‘¡With the help of the Human Settlements theory, the paper introduces the concept of urban land-use morphology with the traditional theories and means of the urban morphology research as references, and puts forward that the research should include two parts: the physical analyse and the study of momentum mechanism. Thereinto, the trinity :function, structure and form, is the core of the urban land-use morphology.
