The Research On BRT System Planning Evaluation And It's Application

Due to the development of the economy in the seven seas, the rapid growth of the population of the city, an widely use of the motor vehicles, most of the cities in the world are faced with tremendous traffic stress. Urban traffic problems such as congestion, hardness of parking are difficult and emphases problem in traffic layout and management. After most experts in urban and traffic layout have made deeply study for these, they consider that restrict private trip mode and encourage public transportation is the just way. All cities do it's hard to develop the public traffic, in the cities the "Public Priority" measure is put into practice at home and overseas. But which system of public traffic is needed in the city, different cities have different choices. The paper tends to study the BRT system which is adapt to Chinese big cities today or the follow decays .BRT system is a public traffic network system which is mainly made up of the rapid bus.On based of summarizing development strategy for city traffic both at home and abroad and analyzing the main problem that the urban traffic faces in our country, the important choice of the mode of the development strategic for city public transport priority in our country is developing BRT system effectively and the strategic position of developing BRT system is fixed.The system info of BRT system is established in this paper. In this paper the definition, structure, trait of BRT system are showed, the feasibility of building BRT is discussed.The evaluation index system of BRT system which is based on the character of BRT system is established. AHP is chosen on the base of comparing several evaluation methods to estimate BRT system layout and application research is put up about it.On the bases of summarizing development history and actuality of BRT system, and referring to the existing research production, and combining the facts of Changsha city, the necessity of developing BRT system in Changsha city is analyzed, and the BRT system of Changsha city is primary designed and the planning is evaluated.The research in this paper has consulting values for cities in our country which are tending to establish the BRT system. Especially for urban traffic development of the cities, which are in developing, lacking of fund, and cannot afford the construction and operation of MRT(LRT) network system, this paper has more realism meaning.
