As the reverse engineering CAD/CAM system had extensive usage in product design and research. This thesis mainly aimed at Integrated reverse engineering which rooted from the science item of DaQing petrochemical factory,work has extremely theoretic and application importance, the task of this paper roots in DaQing petrochemical plant item of the application of IRE technology in petrochemical equipment homemade. Using the equipment of modern NC machining center and regarding the RE's application in industry as the background, the paper researched the IRE and its pivotal technology, which has integrated CMM, CAD/CAM system and NC rapid prototype (RP) manufacture device. The paper contrasted and analyzed main schemes at present, and brought forward a convenient and applied IRE system model, the IRE system is based on CMM measurement and Pro/E software. The system mainly includes five subsystems: data collection, data procession, surface reconstruction, 3-D modeling and CAM system and two interfaces: the data in-out interfaces for surface reconstructions and manufacture system.The paper evolved the business based on three main disturbing problems of the IRE system, which are measuring data reposition, measuring data format transform and free surface model reconstruction.1. A theory based on three datum points to realize the measuring data reposition is put forward, which can transform the datum measured in different coordinate systems into one coordinate system.2. Having researched the special data format".ibl"for the CAD/CAM software Pro/E, This paper used the VC++6.0 to develop the data processing program, which realized the communications of CMM measuring system with mainly based on Pro/E CAD/CAM system.3. Having studied all kinds of model reconstruction methods on Pro/E and post processor, it has realized the functions of free surface reconstruction and program automatically made.In the end , the catalyzing tool mould is reversely built by the IRE system, in which NC program is gained by post processor and it is directly made by CNC device.It's been proved by practice that this system is reasonable in structure, simple in operation, economical in utility , satisfying precision which could meet the needs in industry.
