As a classic drive mechanism, the bevel gears drive mechanism is used in modern mechanical product widely. The professional CAD software system, which integrates the mechanical design data resource, computing and analysis method, three dimension model building and simulating by taking advantage of the computer information technology, provides engineer a simple and convenient mechanical design method. It is not only significant and valuable for engineer to design mechanism quickly and accurately, but also alleviates the designer's working burden and enhances the design quality and decrease the time of designing circle. The integrated CAD software system makes engineer absorbed in mechanical creative design.The paper research on integrated CAD system of gear drive, 3DS(three dimensional sculpt), and investigates the integrated method of the mechanical design resource and mechanical creative design. The paper shows the research work and fruit as follow:(1) Based on the requirement of the CAD software developing, the paper come up with the general blueprint of the integrated CAD system about the gear drive and the paper up build the general structural frame.
