With the rapid development of renewable energy technology, hybrid wind/PV power generating system is broadly spread for its economy and reliability. For the vacancy of electric grid which resulted in the lack of electricity in daily life, it is difficult to improve the fishermen's standard of living in the Baoying Lake, Jinhu County. Therefore, the focus of our paper, which takes the example of Baoying Lake, is to demonstrate the feasibility of spreading hybrid wind/PV power generating system with optimizing the system and studying the benefits.The paper is organized as follows: First, the component, function and theory of each part are introduced in order that the system can be scientifically used, maintained and prolonged. Second, we measured the performance of wind generator and solar battery, the core components of the system, to gain the actual efficiency and provide principles to optimize the hybrid wind/PV power generating system. Taking the example for Baoying Lake, we get the fruit, after optimizing the system with computer aid algorithm and mathematics model of components that the energy consumed in daily life can be satisfied with 150W wind generator matched with 85Wp solar battery, even without wind and sunlight for 5 days. At last, the cost of using the system, 2.3 yuan/kWh, which can yearly save 207.5 yuan compared to diesel generator, is explored with dynamic analytical method, followed that, the economy, environment and social benefits from the spreading of solar/wind hybrid generating system at the speed of 30% in 5 years are quantitatively analyzed.We demonstrate the conclusion, from the technology, economy, environment and social aspects, that it is feasible to spread the system in Jinhu County.
