The Research Of Hangzhou City's Walking System Construction

Mobility brings a lot of convenience along with the development of modern science and technology. At the same time problems have arisen in the cities—environmental quality takes a turn for the worse, the cities stretch unlimitedly, space channel and social channel which can bring mutual contact and close social contact lack between person and person. The areas in which people can take a leisurely and carefree walk have become more and more small. It is also more and more inconvenient for people to walk. The appeal of city's public space is decreasing gradually because it lacks the variety and vitality of people's participation. Eventually it will inevitably lose the positive, good city special quality and motive power. Such situation makes people quite worried. In this paper, according to arrangements and argumentations of plenty of domestic and international related documents, we have recognized that there's still much to do with the status quo of the research of city's walking system on theoretical aspect. The modern city's walking system construction model is made up of three elements: subject, object and medium. Then take Hangzhou for an instance, we discuss thoroughly about the construction channel of city's central shopping center walking system, waterside rest walking system, residential district walking system. And accordingly corresponding countermeasures and suggestions have been put forward.
