With the high-speed development of the our country infrastructure and the progress of greatly developing western region, a lot of high-grade highways are being built in southwest region .So, it is very important and urgent to research the breakage mechanism and the stability of highway slope. The slope is a geology body. By knowing the engineering geology condition and the breakage mechanism of the slope, we can resolve the problem of instability by the roots, prevent and avoid the disease of high slope to insure the traffic safety and highway normal run. So, the accurate analysis of the stability of high slope and its reinforcement structure under various conditions seems to be particularly important. This diesis not only summarized and induced the classification of the slope and the influence factors of slope stability, but also summarized and classified the basic and new theories and methods of slope stability analysis, and then try to understand thoroughly and extensively the breakage mechanism and analytical theories and methods of slope stability for choosing the most suitable analytical theory and method of the engineering example research. The engineering example which is Kunluo Road K0+420~720 slope of the Kunming City in southwest region was chosen to study and evaluate the natural geography environment and the engineering geology condition in the area, especially carry on the analysis of pile 30#, pile 31#, pile 32# and the soil among them in K0+420~720 slope . 3D finite element procedure PLAXIS-3D-TUNNE is one of PLAXIS software series which has been adopted extensively and popular in the Euro-American region. So the author chosen the 3D finite element procedure PLAXIS-3D-TUNNEL to numerical stimulate and research. The author stimulated the condition of slope deformation and stability under the natural condition with the 3D finite element procedure PLAXIS-3D-TUNNEL, and studied thoroughly the displacement, stress and possible failure forms of the soil body of the slope under different conditions in the process of excavation, as well as studied the deformation and force condition of soil body and reinforcement structure after the completion of the reinforcement. The author made use of the strength reduction method to calculate safe factor in each work condition, in the meantime, compared the numerical...
