The steel structure resident houses have a good application in Europe, America, Japan. ect, but in our country, they have coming into a new develop stage. In order to seeking the better type and constitution of connections which apply to steel structure resident houses, this paper study on the common extended end-plate connection, top and seat angles with double web angles connection andT-stub connection by theory and test method .Though existent literature and Europe code 3, analyze the calculation formula of the initial stiffness and the ultimate bearing capacity of the three kinds of connections. In calculating the ultimate bearing capacity of the end-plate connection, take into account the effect of stiffer of end-plate. In calculating the initial stiffness of the end-plate connection, modify distortion formula of the T-stub flange of end-plate taking into account bolt in pretension. Modify cantilever beam model and distortion model of the top angle in top and seat angles with double web angles connection. InT-stub connection, consult the calculation formula of the extended end-plate connection. In calculating the ultimate bearing capacity, take into account the ductile damage of net section of web of theT-stub. In calculating the initial stiffness, take into account the distortion of the web of theT-stub. Calculated sample validate that calculated results of modified formula and the results of tests are closer.Research on extended end-plate connection with end-plate stiffer under cyclic load by test, discuss the effect of stiffer on the capability of the connection. Research on the top and seat angles with double web angles connection with top and seat angles stiffer by test,analyze the effect of stiffer on capability of the connection. Tests results indicate the stiffer is an effective measure improving the capability of the connections.By the makeup of the tests, apply nonlinear (material, geometry and contact) finite element method to analyze three kinds of 29 species of different series connections under single direction load and cyclic load. Contact elements are set between end plate, angles, T-stub and column flange, screw cap and neighborhood plane, bolt bar and hole. The major factors are discussed, including thickness of end-plate, type of stiffer of end-plate, thickness and highness of stiffer of end-plate, thickness of top and seat angles, type of stiffer of top and seat angles, thickness and highness of stiffer of top and seat angles, thickness of flange and web of T-stub, material, diameter of bolt, rate of bolt, layout of bolt. By analysis results, propose the fitting constitution parameter of the extended end-plate connection, top and seat angles with double web angles connection and the T-stub connection.By comparing, first chose the T-stub connection, then the extended end-plate connection, last the top and seat angles with double web angles connection in beam-to-column connection of steel structure resident house.
