With the advancement of science and technology of power industry and its reform going on. Companies have a higher technical demand on the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis than ever. The actual system of the equipment maintenance is blocking the improvement of the performance of enterprises.The advanced maintenance system must be put into practice.Vibration is a very important parameter in T-G's operation, it can directly influence not only the economy of the power plant but also the T-G's security.This paper is based on analyzing the characteristic of T-G's vibration, raise a set of complete on-line turbine vibration motoring and protecting methods.The T-G vibration signal is complicated ,it contains different frequency and is accompanied by a lot of interference.This paper analyzes the reasons of turbine's vibration,vibration signal's frequency band-width, vibration wave's characteristic and the measure method of the vibration signal in detail.TSI(Turbine Supervisory Instrumentation) is worked out based on above conclusion,it provides on-line monitoring and protecting for turbine shaft vibration,bearing vibration and shaft Eccentricity in low rotating speed.Whole system is based on the microcomputer 8098 ,which with high integrated and high speed.Knowledge base is one of the most important parts of fault diagnostic system. This dissertation studies the knowledge base of the vibration fault diagnostic system for turbogenerator unit and discusses the diagnostic model, knowledge representation, knowledge base structure, knowledge acquisition, knowledge management and vertification, and so on.The development of online monitoring and fault diagnosis system is an integrated technology involved in different subject and domain. Some technologies cooperated with diagnosis are included , such as detector, data collection, signal analysis, data processing, database, and net transmission. A perfect fault diagnosis system should be joined with the technology of fault theory, monitoring and trend anticipation and so on. With these efforts ,we can reduce the accidents, improve the work efficiency and contribute more to the nation.
