Saving energy and improving utilizing efficiency of energy resource is one of the most important strategy measures of developing economy in our country. With the reform of organization in electric power industry, the thermal power plant needs not only paying more attention to the safety, but also improving operation management level to achieve the great profit. A logical economic diagnosing model of the thermal power plant is developed and the analyzing software with VC++ is worked out according to actual circumstance. The essential direction and achievements can be described as follow:1. By the matrix principle applying to the thermal balance calculation model of regenerative heating system and the discussion on the fashionable calculating method of the terminal damp steam of the turbine, integrated performance calculating model of thermal power plant is summarized including almost all main technical economy indexes.2. Based on the quantitative analysis of the optimization value of important parameters and main technical economy indexes of thermal power plant, current methods for confirming the optimization value in Supervisory Information System are included and the whole reasonable, effective and applicable precepts for the optimization value are put forward.3. Both deviation analysis method based on correction coefficient and deviation analysis method based on deviation factor are presented by introducing the principle of deviation analysis. With an instance, the influence on heat consumption or coal consumption rate by the deviation of main operational parameters and technical economy indexes are quantificationally calculated.4. Software engineering theory and actual circumstance have been combined in the thesis. Then, the developing principle, the design method and the system structure of the on-line performance calculating software are introduced.5. The application of the on-line performance calculating software for thermal power plant is introduced with an instance. Actual application indicates that the parameters output by the software are rich, the structure of the software is legible and the calculating results are reliable.In the last paragraph of the thesis, the author summarizes a few reflections on developing the system and points out several places in the system that need improving.
