With the developing of vehicle technology and the increasing of electric power loads in today's vehicles, the 42V power system has been considered to replace the existing 14V power system. Developing a 42V PowerNet system using the ISG (Integrated Starter and Generator) has become a focus of many companies. It is easy to change from traditional vehicle's PowerNet to the 42V power system. Furthermore, The features:the quick stop/ start function;drives auxiliaries when the engine is stopped;provides assistant traction when the engine is high load;recovers the regenerative energy during braking, are all benefit to improve the fuel economy and reduce the emission.Based on the synthetical analysis of the Mild Hybrid Vehicle,Power Hybrid Vehicle and Energy Hybrid Vehicle, a 42V PowerNet system employs a mild-hybrid concept using the ISG is put forward in this thesis. After briefly analyzed the theoretic foundation,configuration and function, regarding energy-conservation and environmental protection as the main goal, the style selection,parameter design and matching analyses of the 42V PowerNet system's main parts are Carried on in this thesis.Then, considering the efficiency of the engine and ISG, the control strategy of idle-stop, cruise, acceleration, and deceleration are discussed, Control Strategy is selected when comparing some kinds of control strategies.Under the environment of MATLAB/Simulink, regard Advisor as the simulation platform, the 42V PowerNet system' simulation models are constructed based on modification of Advisor's simulink modules according to the Powertrain Schedule, control strategy and working mode of the 42V PowerNet system. Then, The dynamic performance and fuel economy on the ECE+EUDC and UDDS driving cycle are simulated by Advisor software. Transmission system and Control Strategy are optimized after that. Compared with the conventional vehicle of similar dynamic performance, the fuel economy and emission of the 42V PowerNet system are greatly improved. Concluded: The whole design, modeling and simulation have reached the anticipated design object.
