The energy transformation and delivery of traditional beam pumping unit power equipment are so complex that the efficiency and reliability of beam pumping unit are poor. Linear electrical pumping unit is a revolution of the energy transformation and delivery mode, can improve the efficiency of pumping unit, can realizes the smooth pumping parameters and the suspension center movement variation with pumping situation, and gives a good foundation for intelligent pumping unit. The linear electrical pumping unit is a revolution of pumping unit structure. The driver and control system in the paper is an important part of the special linear electrical pumping unit, which is the first the double sides permanent magnetic brushless DC linear motor applied in the pumping unit.First, with the information of the oil pumping equipment in nation and abroad, the pretend of the oil pumping equipment is proposed, which indicates that it is good choice to apply the linear motor in the oil pumping, because the characteristic of linear motor is suit for the oil pumping.Then the working process of the linear electrical pumping unit is introduced. Three phase double-side linear brushless motor is chosen for the great force characteristic, high efficiency, simple structure and control characteristic.The drive and control system is the main body of the paper.Hardware of the drive and control system is based on TMS320LF2407A with powerful functions, transforms the power energy into PWM to drive and control the motor and realize the protective function by protective circuit. Software of the drive and control system realizes the current and speed closed-loop control, which contain PI adjuster. The control system could realize the step stroke variation and commutation by switch signal and corresponding software. Otherwise, we have got the way to realize smooth stroke variation based on the phase change signal count.Speed detection is one of the key technologies of speed control, but the traditional Hall position sensor's way applied in the first experiment has poor precision at low speed, then we propose a novel speed detection way, which changes the traditional speed detection mode, gets the speed by induced electromotive force produce by a coil moving with the mover.
