With the progress of wireless communication technology,the reliability and availability of wireless communication are highly improved. the Communication Based Train Control(CBTC) is the trend of urban railway traffic control system in the future. CBTC system is independent of railway circuit,applying high resolution train location determination and continuous, high capacity, bi-directional train-to-wayside data communications. controlling train through train-borne and wayside processors.The paper introduces the composition and development of Communication Based Train Control, explains the necessity of developing the Zone Controller. ZC shall guarantee the safety of train operation,it has the function that gives implement the safe operation headway of trains. ZC is the key device which guarantees safety of train operation in CBTC,it has a high requirement with system software and hardware's real-time performance and safety reliability.In the paper,the author brings in UML and the real-time embedded software development Rhapsody,then analyses the application according to the ZC software's reliability and real-time performance. On this base,the author gives further description in real-time embedded system's UML extend mechanism,which are concurrency control,event dispatch and real-time rest extend aspects.In this paper,the author mainly researches the development of ZC's system software which plays the role position in CBTC system,and analyse ZC from system architectures to detail design based on Object-Oriented Method.To follow the special requirement of train operation in CBTC,the author analyses the ZC subsystem's reliability,availability, doing a deep research in aspects of the complexity of software development, shortening the life circle of research,improving the system's porting. Using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Rapid Object-Oriented Process for Embedded System(ROPES) tools, modeling the ZC subsystem based on safety platform,explores a method of application system software modeling based pattern structure,completing the application system's software design and analysis.
