Railway line is the basis to train operation, and it has the direct influence on railway safety. Using safety assessment, you can not only find out the hidden troubles and their development direction existing in railway line system, the assessment result can also give a scientific basis to railway track division. So, railway line safety assessment has a very important effect to improve the level of railway line.Now, the most commonly used method in evaluatting the track's quality is the"grade point method", which is based on the data statically examined by the track division. The method is simple and convenient, but it can not reflect the differences between principal and subordinate indexes, therefor, it can not give an overall assessment to railway line.In order to solve these problems, this dissertation analyses the existing safety assessment methods, and brings forward the attribute synthetic evaluation method for railway line safety assessment based on attribute mathematics, both accident index and process index are introduced to make up of the synthetic index system and the attribute synthetic evaluation model. This system includes 25 indexes, and can make good use of the examining data from railway scene.To the rank deviation in each index in the evaluation model, the clustering analysis method is introduced to determine it. In order to reduce the influence of the human beings, this dissertation gives up the common method such as the analytic hierarchy process, but to use mathematical method to calculate the weight coefficient based on each index actual value.In the final part, this dissertation gives two examples of railway line safety assessment, testifies the effectiveness of the method and the model. The evaluation results show that attribute synthetic evaluation method can get the effective distinguishability and more detailed classification to railway line safety, which is more objective and scientific compared with the other previous methods.
