Since the world energy crisis broke out in 1970s, the various countries all pay more attentions to the problems of the energy. Energy saving is an important measure to promote industry progress, to bring nation sustainable development into effect. Energy saving in architecture is a key on resolving energy problems, improving people's living condition, and lightening environment pollution.Through the construction of BAS in Chongqing university chief teaching building, we try to make the energy source of this building be used scientific and sound, to reduce the maintenance cost of the equipments, to reduce the management and running cost, so that we can achieve the purpose of farthest saving energy and offering some energy saving samples to other public buildings.For find out the energy status and energy management status, we investigate several public buildings which type include hotel and office building. From the data we can figure out the message of their construction energy consumption guideline, air conditioning energy consumption guideline, proportion of air conditioning energy consumption, percentage breakdown of energy end use, and proportion of air conditioning electricity consumption. At the same time, we analyse the energy management status of the surveyed building from the aspects of adoption of intelligent control, building energy management, and individual account of HVAC system.Research object of this article is the Chongqing university chief teaching building. Firstly, develop building equipment management operating system, which emphasize particularly on development of user interface. at the same time, intensify the surveillance function and control function of the subsystem. Through the development of surveillance interface, we try to combine the surveillance and control of the subsystem, make the best interface for daily management and energy saving control.Secondly, we construct the energy management system from the aspects of energy consumption statistic, equipment runtime statistic, parameter statistic and fault alarm. The purpose is to make more reasonable working platform for energy optimum placement, to make the energy placement more flexible, to strengthen the energy system's scalability and to advance the energy saving effect.Subarea computation to the energy consumption also is an important part of the energy management.
