With the development of Mchatronics technology and medical instruments, the function of respirator presents higher requirement on respirator, which leads that the application of computer on respirator is becoming more and more prevalent. Starting from the real-time and stability, this paper researches and realizes the real-time control system based on Linux System.Firstly, the principle is studied deeply. On the basis of this work, the framework is developed. A data collecting card is taken to carry out data processing for the pressure and the velocity of flow, and the steeper motor is controlled to adjust the valve according to need. Thus the pressure and velocity is controlled.Secondly, in the course of realizing the real-time control of respirator, the most important step, which is the programming of hardware driver about sampling system, is successfully completed. This paper discusses how to develop the device driver under Linux System, and analyzes the standard PCI Bus that is used by this system. At last, this paper describes how to realize the device driver of the signal collecting system of respirator under Linux in detail.Thirdly, the software about the control system is designed and compiled. On the whole, the software is divided into several modules. Every module realizes certain function. And thus respiratory-control parameters and breathing mode can be chosen. Control parameters of respirator are calculated. And finally they are sent to respirator to realize real-time control. Responding alarms can be activated respectively while respirator fails in order to ensure the safety of the respirator. What's more, the man-machine interface is designed. The work status of respirator is displayed dynamically.The control system under Linux developed in this paper improves the real-time and stability functions of the control system of respirator, and has the characters of friendly man-machine interface, easy and secure operation.
