The Research And Application Of Linux System In Subway DDU

In practical engineering, The Driver Display Unit is an important equipment to complete the human-machine interface and showing information of the subway train system. This display unit conducts human's operation command and assures the safety of the subway train. And there is important theoretic meaning and realistic meaning on the research of realization of the Driver Display Unit.Research is done in the domain of embedded Linux real time operation system and the embedded graphical user interface during the author finishing the master dissertation. Finally the software platform of on-board display based on embedded Linux is accomplished.The X86-CPU base hardware is chosen as the hardware platform of Driver Display Unit. The embedded Linux operation fitting to the display unit is built and the work includes booting system, cutting out kernel and making root file system and so on. Because the embedded Linux cannot suffice the real time of the display unit, the author makes use of RT-Linux to rebuild the real time embedded Linux. The graphical user interface of the PC Linux is too voluminous to apply to the on-board display. Qt which is free software is elected and finishes the design of the graphical user interface of the display. And the graphical application programming interface of the DDU is supplied. In the end, the display of surveillance is developed based on the software platform of the unit. The platform is testified useable. Finally, the problems requiring further studies are discussed.
