This thesis focuses on the design of the embedded bearing malfunction diagnosing system. The system is composed of three parts: the host ARM control site and the slaver DSP algorithm processing site as well as the signal sampling and A/D conversion site. This thesis introduces mainly the hardware and software of the three parts. Hardwae part includes the design of the peripheral equipment of the embedded system based on ARM core and DSP core as well as the design of the A/D conversion. Software part includes the design of the device driver program and the application-level program as well as the GUI. This thesis is divided into seven parts. Chapter I briefly introduces the current technology of the bearing malfunction diagnosing system and the backgrounds. Chapter 2 explains the conception and the character of embedded system, and then, designs the embedded bearing malfunction diagnosing system based on ARM9 core and DSP ' C6713 core. Chapter 3 introduces the hardware design of the peripheral equipment such as FLASH , SDRAM , LCD and etc on ARM site. Chapter 4 is the most important chapter which mainly describes the software architecture of the diagnosing system, detailedly introduces Linux operation system and Bootloader program design and GUI design as well as the design of the device driver program of HPI in Linux operating system. Chapter 5 introduces the design of hardware and software of the A/D sampling ahead of DSP site. Chapter 6 introduces the realization of resonance demodulation theory on DSP core, especially, introduces a real demo of the bearing malfunction diagnosing system to demonstrate the high efficiency and advantages of this system. Chapter 7 presents some suggestions for further development and then gives the conclusions.
