Criticize And Tectonic

This thesis summarizes the origin and the development of Regionalism. The important part is the study of Critical Regionalism. "Criticize and Tectonic" is the master clue of the paper. At first, it critically discusses the phenomenon of Modern Architecture and Regional Architecture in the globalization context. Then through the essential elements of "tectonic": material/detail/structure/construction/build, it analyzes design ideas and projects of contemporary typical regionalism architects. The author relates it to the problems of city buildings in China, in order to find out a viable concept to its development.
