Miter gate is one kind of steel gates the most widely applied in lock engineering. Miter gate is widely used in lock engineering owing to its following advantages:less lifting force,simple structure, convenient operation,and so on.The shipping industry develops continuously,the tread of ship's carrying capacity and type are gradual enlargement at present,the friction between the ships and the gates and the accident of the collision frequently occur,which seriously threaten the marine transportantion safety and the safe operating of gate and the economical life of golden waterway water transportation. Therefor,lock miter gate carries on security evaluation and structure analysis under the ships impact load.Service gates carrie on security reinforcement and new gates carries on rational design which are an important research topic of practical value.This paper has mainly researched loaded characteristic of the miter gates under ships impact load. At first,the impacted problem of the Siyang one and two line lock miter gate are investigated and analyzed widely and thoroughly.The reasons of gate impactive failures are analyzed ,so impactive analysis methods are put forward.Then,this paper introduces the principle and method of finite element analsis of spatial composite structure like miter gates which are composted by steel plates,beams,bars and so on.On the above basis,through contrast home with abroad about computation stipulation of impact load between ships and tail gate, which confine size and arientation of impact force in this paper.This paper carries on the spatial finite element analysis for the Siyang one and two line lock miter gate under different work condition and impact force by using larg general finite element analysis software ANSYS.Through compared the reinforced gate with the original on the result of finite element, verify the anticollision function of miter gate as well as anticollision's effect of some reinforced lock gates, the way and the method of reinforcement and the spot of strengthen put forward the reasonable proposal in the miter gate design.In view of gate design in commonly adopt design method of plane system,the width of miter gate plate which participantive working of the grider or beam is analyzed. The coefficient of available width which is obtained by finite element analysis is compared its value in document.As a result,the more accurate coefficient of available width which reflect shear lag effect is obtained.
