Research Of Mechanical Innovation Based On Configuration Evolution & The Application

At present, most of the creative design method is mainly based on the up-to-down thought of requirement, function and processing, while a new mechanical creative design method is discussed in this paper, which is different and developed from the lower layer of techniques. According to the evolutional logic of quantities to quality, the relationship between different mechanisms is deduced and ordered, and then was expressed as pedigree, the creative design would be finished by applying analysis and development to the pedigree with specific function.For the referent evolutional methods based on pedigree at present, the pectination is just rest on concept and without practical maneuverability. The author tries to give operable carding method and get it proved by tests. This method is based on configuration evolution and mainly consists of the following three parts: variables expression of the design, definition of the evolution logic based on design variables, and finally the production and application of the pedigree based on evolution logic.It is applied in the following fields: the design of robot arms, pumps and mixing machine. We also did some primary research of automatic realization of the new method by computer.This new method is a useful and practical idea in mechanical design and provides a multi-dimensional new view sight, new idea and new concept for the research of mechanical creation.
