Power system's transient stability describes the ability of all elements in the power grid to remain in synchronism following an abrupt change in operating conditions. It will be a bad result if the rotor angle between different generators increase by time and certain generator lose its synchronism after an abrupt change in operating conditions happens in power system. For this reason transient stability is important to safe operation of power system. Time-domain numerical simulation and direct method are traditional methods for transient stability assessment (TSA). Application of artificial neural network in TSA (ANNTSA) is a new research direction. It is advantage of ANN that there is no need to establish elements'mathematical model and to solve nonlinear equation, which means what we only should do is to establish the mapping relation between system's variables and stability states. ANNTSA's mission is samples'off-line training instead of a great deal of on-line calculation. This paper improves TSA method using ANN combined with other artificial intelligence method and availability of improvement is...
