In order to adapt the general acceleration of railway carriage and new type of carriage train safe operation, a system of axle temperature detecting and generator controlling in railway carriage is designed. With a core of the 80C196 MCU, the system has the functions of axle temperature detecting and generator controlling, etc.Axle temperature detecting equipment can automatically detect the variation of the train's axle temperature in order to guarantee the safe operation of the train. In this equipment, analog temperature sensor and digital temperature sensor are adopted respectively in the axle temperature and environment temperature real-time detection, and the temperature can be displayed at the same time. Not only sending out the alarm when it's over the predetermined temperature, the system can also use the carrier communication for reporting every carriage and report to the main system.For the part of generator controlling, the output voltage and the current from generator and the charging current are used as feedback variable. The field current of the generator is controlled by the close time of IGBT, which is adjusted through the output of PWM (pulse width modulation) that was automatically adjusted by TL494.This process can accomplish stabilizing of output voltage, output current and the charging current. Providing much steadier and more accurate PWM output, integral separate PID and dead time controlling PID are used to control TL494 when the feedback value faraway from enactment value.
