The paper introduces how to design and realize GERT (General-purpose Electric Remote Terminal) which used in airplane. Electric remote terminal of airplane is an important part of airplane's automatic electric power system. According to the position command and power supply request, how to collocate and supply power to the bus of the electrical power system is controlled by GERT. The bus's working state and the load's working state are also real-time controlled by GERT, and according to the practical situation, the faults are downloaded to the electrical power system, in order to ensure the power supply of the electric load on the airplane and improve the using rate of the electrical power.There are many requests of the load to the electric power system on the parts of real-time, fault tolerance and reliability. According to the difficulty of technique and the cost, a general-purpose terminal which can control the bus and the load is chosen. Many new technical which includes DSP TMS320LF2407A is used as controller, use CPLD to extend the I/O ports and choose RTOS (real-time operating system) as software platform have been used in GERT. Design is according to general-purpose design technique, not the specific request of the remote terminals. A system design platform which can directly load the application program is realized.According to the functional request of GERT which used in the electric power system of the airplane, and the inherence request of the real-time operating system, multitask is created, and RMA is used to analyze the schedulability. The key technique of the automatic electric power system is the method that using operating system to design the complicated function of GERT. Using this technique can make the whole software system have a clear level and a better expansibility, on the other hand, it can improve the real-time and reliability of the system.The capabilities are analyzed in the end of the paper, the results of analysis and experiment indicate that GERT can satisfy the real-time and reliability which demanded by the system, and simply realize the automatic technique of electric power system.
