Angular measurement is an important portion of metrology science; especially minute angle measurement has very important meaning and action at many aspects such as precision processing, aeronautics and astronautics, military and communication. The method of angular measurement most based on auto collimation theory, with optical system, the change of angular is appeared. The light signal with angular information be converted into electrical signal by photoelectric conversion device .The electrical signal then is processed after.At present, general used minute angular measurement instrument can meet the actual requirement at accuracy. But these instruments almost are too heavy to take to special working site and just could measure one-dimension.So it is necessary to study a compact high precision angular measurement instrument. In this, the classical angular measurement instrument has been improved on data acquainting and processing. A scheme utilize embedded system has been designed to accomplish data acquainting and processing after studied two- dimension measure methods. The hardware tasks include design of linear-array CCD driver circuit, video signal processing and result display, and data high speed acquisition has been achieved by ARM embedded. The software tasks include embedded system initialization and data processing.Through experiment, the feasibility of improving classical angular measurement instrument by embedded system proved true and made good theory certification for produce a kind of high degree of accuracy and portable angular measurement instrument.
