With the extensive application of power electronics devices, the current harmonic problem becomes more and more terrible. The current harmonic pollution brings a series of harms to system and electromagnetism environment. Under this background, Power Factor Correction (PFC) Technology which is being used in many fields becomes important part and research hotspot of the power electronics technology.The characteristics of analog controlled PFC converters is analyzed, the principle and working mode is studied. An average current controlled PFC converter is designed using DSP.The design of main circuit and detect circuit are introduced in detail in the paper. Something should be pay ateention to and improvements of the design are also introduced in the paper. An auxiliary power is designed to supply power to the detect circuit.The system software is designed in modules which consist of realizing independent function, including initial module, soft start module, PI algorithm module and so on. The design process is introduced in the paper. Design of module makes the software corrections and debugging easy. It also makes the software more readable and easy to update.The prototype is developed and some primary results are derived. The future work of this paper is proposed at the end of the paper.
