Under the action of seepage, earth dam always occur some adverse accident such as leakage, seepage failure, slope destabilization and so on, and it directly influences economic benefit and safety of project. So it is very important to research in seepage calculation and monitoring of earth dam.The seepage calculation of earth dam is a 3d problem with complicated boundary condition, and it usually causes some difference to reality by adopting the hydraulic method and hypothesis of plane problem. In this paper, the more accurate boundary condition is simulated by compiling 3d finite element seepage calculation programming. The result of the specific example proves that it is a feasible way to solve seepage problem.Seepage monitoring of earth dam plays very important part in safety operation of engineering. One of the key aspects of seepage monitoring is the phreatic line (piezometric level) monitoring. According to the statistic model of piezometric level, model of piezometric level monitoring on the basis of support vector machines is founded. Comparing with traditional statistic model, the new model is more accurate and has better extension forecasting capability.
