Usually, in our country, the elementary student is the 7~14 year-old child. This age section is a crucial time for the physical quality, the psychological quality, the cultural and scientific levels and the ideological and ethical standards to raise precisely. The school campus is their main place of social activities. Their behavior developments influence the campus space environment deeply.Comparing with the middle school and the university, the elementary school campus usually has a small scale, and the quantity of construction is big, the speed of development is quick, but for a long time, the construction of the elementary school campus usually lay stress on the quantity but not on the quality. In recent years, along with the economic condition improvement, the campus planning also get some development, but the design is only based on the official standard and the individual view point, and the campus planning has not been able to follow the corresponding speed of education development.It can be said that the education system evolution is the main motive force of the campus development, the using way of the campus space make the campus environment get the fundamental change.Considering of the system and principles of education, and the vicissitudes on campus planning in recent years, the article points out that the attention of the child's behavior has been infused into the elementary campus design. When we design the campus space, especially the elementary campus space, we are greatly enlightened by the research of child behavior psychology and modern education. The behavior ability of child has much to do with the design of campus space. Elementary school is an important place where children develop their own behavior and experience their social life. With the development in the area of society, economic, science, technology and the tendency that the education system goes to the direction of"Quality Education", the elementary school education has beginning to pay more and more attention to the children's behavior in aspect of interests, activities, intellectuality, personality etc. Based on the interaction relationship between child's behavior development and the campus space, campus design should be able to fulfill the needs for children activities and further more to create the inspiration for their potential development in behavior.All in all, the design of the elementary school campus should merely comply with the principle under the new situation, namely: Integrity; Elastic growth; Humanistic standard; Game; Living; Social compatibility.
