The Study And Manufacture Of Local Control Unit Based On VxWorks And Distributed Intelligent I/O

With the development of computer measurement & control and network technology, especially the gradual popularization of unattended management pattern in hydropower plant, it is urgent to require better LCU in reliable performance and advanced technology. The study and manufacture of LCU consists of central control module, distributed intelligent I/O modules and multi-COM module. The central control is based on embedded PC computer MOPSlcdGX1 made in Kontron Company and real time multi task operating system. MB90F548G, a high performance single chip microcontroller made in Fujitsu Company, is applied in the distributed intelligent I/O modules. The multi-COM module is based on DIMM-PC386-IE made in Kontron Company and real time multi task operating system. One CAN bus is applied in the communication between the central control module and the distributed intelligent I/O modules; Another CAN bus is applied in the communication between the central control module and the multi-COM module. Due to isolation technology is applied in the LCU, any I/O module has no effect on the other modules when there is a fault in any I/O module. The LCU is convenient to maintain because any same kind module can be exchanged each other and the modules'address can be identified automatically. Owe to four-layer circuit board (except the circuit board of power supply) and SM (surface mount) components are applied in the LCU, the reliability of modules circuit is improved greatly and a series of international standard about EMC is satisfied. The LCU is packaged by metal and is sealed overally. So the new mechanical structure has many good features,such as dustproof, shockproof,moistureproof,anti-interferential,helping to dispel the heat. The system stucture of the LCU belongs to tailored control system ,which has many features,such as open,network,configuration and so on.If the production of study and manufacture is succefully popularized, the gaps between China and foreign advanced technology about the automation of middle little hydropower plants will be shortened greatly and large social and economic benefit will be brought.
