Research Of Distribution Network Planning With Distributed Generation

In recent years, distributed generation holds more and more shares in electric power system as it has so many advantages. It has become a new trend in power source. But with the number of distributed generations increasing, the distribution network which distributed generation integrated to will face more and more uncertainties.The paper studies on the issues about distributed generation based on the achievements worldwide. The main research contents are concluded briefly as follow. Firstly, the conception of distributed generation is introduced, and the impact on the planning and operation of distribution network are also analyzed detailed. Secondly, a comparison on the planning models and their corresponding solving algorithms is executed. Thirdly, the paper sorts the planning of distributed generation into two parts, which is the setting of distributed generation and the distribution network planning with distributed generation. The detailed study is executed on the latter. A new planning model is presented, and the corresponding algorithm is put forward which is used to solve the sitting and sizing of distributed generation. The feasibility of the presented model and algorithm is verified by an example.
