The city distribution network is the main part of electrical power system, and it is one of the most essential foundations in unban construction. As speeding up the planning construction of distribution network configuration and automation, not only the network reliability, the operation level and the operation benefits can greatly enhance, but also can improve the quick reaction capability in the breakdown situation as well as advance the management level and the economic efficiency of the distribution networknet. According to the actual situation of the Tongzhou distribution network, based on the analysis of the present network situation and the load forecast for the Tongzhou distribution network, this thesis carries out the optimal planning of distribution network for the key region of Tongzhou area, and detailedly designes the distribution automation and the communications system for the satellite town of Tong zhou area. Moreover, the entire power distribution automation plan design proposed in this thesim follows the construction principle of system planning and division step of implementation, and fully considers the reques of the city distribution network continuing development. This thesis detailedly discusses the feeder automation system aimed at the headline and ground cable, and proposes the reasonable choosing communication method of the automation terminal device to the sub-station by making use of existing dispatch automation communications system, after this scheme implementation, will greatly enhance the distribution network automation level of the Tongzhou area.
