Because of the synthetical factors such as electricity, heat, mechanical stress and the external environment, the turbine generator rotor windings may bring about the insulation breakdown in its operation, leading to turn-to-turn short circuit or earth fault. By failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) and the description of state deterioration of the turbine generator, this article introduces Markovian decision process to study deterioration law and maintenance decision-making in decision process. Make use of theoretical investigation result of operational research sequential decision method--"Control-limit" maintaining decision making modeling method having built a maintaining optimization model of generator rotor windings and carry through case studies using the model to get optimum maintaining policy.
