With the rapid development of economy, the registered number of motor vehicles increases rapidly in China, especially for the larger number of private automobile, which makes the supply-demand contradiction of parking become prominent in many cities. The phenomenon of"parking difficulties, indiscriminate parking"is serious.Because urban land is limited and population is dense, it is impossible to build a large of off-street parking lots to satisfy the demand of parking. It is undoubted that curb parking will keep going in a quiet long time. The curb parking has a negative influence on dynamic traffic, but there is few regulations on the curb parking lot design and management in our country. Although some cities have established relative regulations, most of which are qualitative and unilateralism, lack of quantificational analyze as overseas research. The research on curb parking lot design and management is not enough (especially quantificational analyze), which makes the layout of curb parking lot not assort with the city traffic situations. How curb parking influence on dynamic traffic and the evaluation method of curb parking influence on dynamic traffic need to be researched deep.Based on above background, this thesis analyzes the influence of curb parking upon dynamic traffic by the aspect of traffic capacity, delay, traffic safety and by use of questionnaire survey, relative model, simulation software, which benefit to layout and manage curb paring lot, minimize the negative influence, sufficiently develop the advantage of curb and the road efficiency, in order to alleviate the traffic congestion in cities. It also can provide a theoretical support and guidance in order to evaluate the service level of road sections reasonably, ascertain the more reasonable resistance and simulate the traffic flow exactly. Chapter one, mainly introduces study background, object, meaning; analyzes the in-abroad research actuality and existing issues; confirms the research direction and keystone.Chapter two, on the base of the analyze of the curb parking setting condition, detailed discusses the influence which curb parking has on the bicycle flow, vehicle flow, mixed traffic flow, signalized intersection and unsignalized intersection. It also discusses the vehicle reach characters, introduces the M3 distribution, analyses the delay caused by stopping and starting of parking vehicles. The content of chapter two conduces to further confirm the research content in the third chapter and lays foundation for establishing model in the forth chapter.Chapter three, establishes the regress model of the speed decrease rate, the traffic inhibition ratio and the rate of traffic change based on bidirectional two-lane road. It educes the minimum width of the bidirectional two-lane road which allows to set up curb parking by analyzing the cross-line rate. We can know the resident and the passerby's attitude towards curb parking through the questionnaire survey. And then according to the passerby's sense and the road space occupancy, we can calculate the number of parking spaces. Finally, this chapter gives a corresponding ensample. It can provide a theoretical support and reference to layout and manage the curb parking lot.Considering the transect, traffic organization of urban roads, chapter four analyzes the influence factor of the curb parking on traffic capacity, and ascertain reduction factor. Based on bidirectional two-lane road, when the parking vehicles are stopping and staring, the reaching vehicles wait behide. If there are not any vehicles at the opposite lane, the waiting vehicles would round the parking vehicles. The paper establishes model that can be used to calculate the delay caused by stopping and staring of parking vehicles. And the discrete flow model is validated with VISSIM4.1.Chapter five, sums up the rules of the curb parking setting, then according to the traffic capacity model and the service level of road sections, ascertains the critical traffic volume which allow to set the curb parking; ascertains the distance between curb parking location and intersection; based on the minimum total vehicle delay, this chapter takes capacity-of-network and network service level as restrictions to ascertain the scale of parking; finally, several quantificationaldecisions and the setting program of curb parking are given from the viewpoint of reducing the negative influence.Chapter six is the summary. The main research content is summarized and the problems which need to be researched deep are presented. Main contribution of this dissertation is as followed:1.Based on bidirectional two-lane road, when the parking vehicles are stopping and starting, the reaching vehicles wait behide.
