Study On The Traditional Houses And Culture Of ShenMu Region In ShanBei

The traditional houses has the glorious history and the deep culture accumulates, it is rooted in the agricultural civilization, what represents has the rich cultural connotation, the place characteristic, relates the closest housing construction form with human's life. However along with world diversification development, more and more researchers recognize the importance of the type of residential construction. With the in-depth study, the traditional residential buildings with culture, Related research content gradually aroused attention as a new focus of concern. As the important component of Chinese traditional architecture, shenmu's vernacular house is an ample historical cultural heritage of architecture.This article studies the region is in shenmu county, which in 1993 by the provincial government approved the second installment of a famous historical and cultural city. Up to present, there remain many valuable traditional houses built in the Ming and Qing dynasties along both sides of the main street and around the eastern section of the old districts of Shenmu city which constitute a very important part of historical and folklore cultural relics worth conserving and protecting. So the demand of a research into Shenmu city's traditional houses is imperative.This article main research is folklore culture of ShenMu region and courtyard dwelling. First this thesis pointed that using folkloric method to study nonmaterial culture of architectural heritage that according to the certain characteristics of folklore itself, through analyzes the local material folk custom, the social folk custom, the recreational folk custom, the belief folk custom and courtyard dwelling interaction relates, This paper first approaches to subjects of Shenmu traditional houses on layout of courtyard,layout of interiors,structure and construction,artistic carving and it's cultural meaning in relation to peoples life--style and family structure of Shenmu region. Finally obtains the tangible cultural heritage and the intangible heritage two has the same importance.
