The Exploration Of Preservation And Regeneration Of The Public Space In Zhongshan Jie District In The Old City Of Xianyang

Urbans are developing constantly, but how it will be developed in the original city center? Though there are various reasons during the formation of different old city centers, my topic concerns those cities in modern time in China, which coming into being from commercial districts and markets. Releasing the pressure which is caused by the hign-intensity operations, the open public spaces are just like the " lung" of a city.The commercial districts in the city center in the physical media which show the essential elements of city. Commercial blocks in central city are concerned here to strenthen the commercial activities, increase marketing opportunities and help sustainable development. Organizing urban space and activities of people, ameliorating ecological environment, I manage to introduce harmonious developing mode into city center. Meanwhile, the preservation of the historical heritages, context and image of the city will also be considered in particular chapters.In this paper, I will research and analyze about the open public spaces in the streets of old city center. As the case of study, Xian Yang is one of the National Famous Historic Cultural Cities, which will be the important example. In one hand I will investigate the original district in Xian Yang city, on the other, I will use the approaches of city design to analyze the elements in those old streets.In the end, from my researching and analyzing, I will manage to touch some possible methods for the development of the central area of our old cities.
