Study On Exploitation & Utilization Of The Underground Traffic In The Core Space Of Xi'an City

With the rapid development of urbanization and mobility in our country, urban traffic space has gradually failed to meet the needs of urban development; the further aggravation of city traffic contradictions is bound to affecting the harmonious development of cities. How to solve the traffic contradictions of Xi' an core space through better planning to improve the transportation efficiency, as well as, to keep the traffic unblocked and sustainable development is a problem to be investigated urgently. Therefore, the topic of this paper is valuable both in practical application and theoretical research.In this paper, the author analyzes the traffic status of Xi'an core space .A way of developing underground traffic space to resolve the traffic contradictions was suggested based on the development of the city and the supply and demand balance of both the dynamic and static transportation.Based on the analysis of the factors which affect the demand forecasts of underground space, the author set up a demand forecast model for underground traffic space and derived the calculation formula of demand for urban underground space to control the development degree of underground space, and to improve the value of the underground space development effectively.What's more, the author suggested the main point in planning and conceivableness about underground rail transportation system and underground walkway system and underground pedestrian crossing and underground parking system.For the special historical and geographical conditions of Xi'an core space, the author pointed out various problems caused by development and utilization of underground traffic space and proposed some strategies and recommendations.
