It becomes important to research the further economical development and spatial distribution of western Hangzhou after these years' fast expansion and urbanism of Hangzhou. Based on different region development modes and process especially the current condition of Shangsi region, this research discussed the developping mode of this region. The ecological zoning and capacity was decided by Eco-sensitivity assessment and each region's macro developping demand was mentioned in the paper. The paper also discussed Shangsi region's manual and natural environmental system and the metropolitan region's distribution. The regional zoning plan and backup plan was suggested. The improvement and creativity of the old system, the research method and related details were decided. The future spatial distribution and economical developping mode of Shangsi region was concluded in details and the objective was decided in the following chapters.This article was divided in six chapters:The fist chapter was introduction of this research's background, value,research method and creativity.The next chapter was literature review of related researches.The third chapter discussed the current condition of Shangsi region and decided that region's developing process.The fourth chapter chose different economical developping modes and spatial distribution developping modes for Shangsi region.Chapter five decided the spatial distribution details including manual and natural environmental system and major divisions based on chapter four's research.The last chapter is the conclusion of the article. It discussed the natural capacity and its controlling factor.
