1. PrefaceFrom the first patent of automobile sunroof applied in the year 1936, the development of sunroof has been continually moved on with the development of technology. The automobile sunroof has many advantages, e.g. keeping the air inside automobile clean, receiving enough lighting, good aerodynamics, cleaning dust and so on. So nowadays it is more and more wildly used in automobile. Resort to Stat, 300 thousand automobile install sunroof in America every year and the number in Korea is 20 thousand. With more and more families buying car in China, the need of sunroof also become more popular. But because our sunroof industry start late and most patent and technology of sunroof are kept by foreign enterprises, how to develop sunroof is urgent. And in the sunroof technology, the motion mechanism design is the most important. Simulation research is a popular way nowadays and it can reduce the time to make a trial machine and the cost. Meanwhile it can provide guidance at the concept design period to short the lift time of development. The motion of automobile electronic sunroof is planar motion of multi body under multi constraints, and it is a complicate process that the design variables do not obviously relative, so it is always a problem in sunroof design. Also because of the design variables are not fixed, it can not be designed through make trial physical machine. This article is mainly about Virtual Prototype Analysis and Experiment Research onMotion Mechanism of Automobile Electronic Sunroof. Through the analysis on motion mechanism principle of automobile electronic sunroof optimize the design variables of it.
