The safet y device is the most important safet y device of build inghoist,which enables the hoist cage have anti-falling abilit y being activatedautomaticall y when the drop speed of the hoist cage reaches the calibratedtripping speed of the safet y device,to prevent accidents.Firstl y, the thesis describes the research background, research meaningand current research situation of the safety device.The development,structuralfeatures,performance and others of safety device are outlined.The researchfocuses on the commonl y used safet y device with pinion and cone progressivefor building hoist, taking safet y device of SCD200/200building hoist as theresearch object in the thesis.The structure of safet y device and the designparameters are defined. The specific design of each part of the safet y device iscompleted then.The thesis describes the virtual protot yping technology.Virtualprotot yping technology is used to simulate and optimiz e the performance ofthe safet y device. In this process,3D solid modeling software Pro/E5.0is usedto model the main parts of safet y device,and finall y the assembl y ofthree-dimensional solid model is completed.The3D model is imported intodynamic simulation software ADAMS. The loads and constraints on the deviceare imposed, and parameters are set under ADAMS environment. The virtualprotot ype of safet y device is created.Finall y,ADAMS post-processor is used to complete dynamics simulationof the virtual prototype model.The process exports simulation data and thesimulation curve including the trigger speed, catching distance, braking speed,braking force, brake moment and brake acceleration. of performanceparameters of safet y device.The simulation results are anal yzed and comparedwith the design data.The main parameters of the virtual protot ype of the safet y device areparameterized.An optimization is implemented to get the optimum result forthe model by using ADAMS optimization feature, which greatl y i mproves thebraking performance of the safet y device.
