Emergency door is an important component of the structuresof an aircraft.,it’s absolutelynecessary for the integrity of aircraft structure and function and is also of great significance for safemanufacture. In this paper a virtual prototype model of a right emergency door was set up inMulti-body dynamics simulation software called ADAMS and the motion mechanism is simulated. Itprovides a certain degree of help and guidance for installing, adjusting and testing tne physicalprototype of the emergency door.The main contents are the following:The assembly model of the door is imported into ADAMS in Parasolid format. Some componentsof the mechanism are simplified and united to facilitate later simulation for the design model iscomplicated and the number of components is big. Define constraints on the right place, so that virtualmodel has the same structure kinematic and dymatic characteristics with the real prototype. Comparethe relative moving between the revolute joints with clearance in different parts of the mechanism,joint the components with special force of contact or define double-universual joints instead of therevolute joints with clearance.The stiffness of two different springs in the mechanism is defined as two variables. Take thedistance between bolt and block and the force people need to pull the outside-handle as simulationtarget. The final test results meet demands of design.Analysis the process of opening the emergency door and divide it into three parts: unlock the bolt,elevate the door and push the door. Define virtual srnsors and relevant motion functions. Run thekinematic simulation of opening the emergency door in scripted simulation manner. Measure thedisplacements of inside-handle and outside-handle, comparative the data and then get the reference ofhow the mechanism works.
