Considering the strategic development of the city, developing the planning and building for rail transit is done in a faster step in many large cities, and some cities are carrying on and researching on Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) .This text studies on the adaptability of BRT to spread into the application systematically, on the basis of research findings of experts at home and abroad.First of all, from the view of the microcosmic and macroscopic and considering the different cities, the text analyzes and sums up the adaptive conditions and factors of BRT planning and application systematically. Then, the text takes Chengdu as the main example .It analyzes and probe into the adaptive problems of spreading the system of BRT from the condition of the macroscopic and technology, and other angles of development of urban public traffic. Considering the optimization of transportation structure and the travel need allocation model, BRT traffic demand planning process is proposed. Considering deciding the structural type and rational scale on the city transportation, the frames and thought in the BRT line planning comes out. Considering the deficiency of BRT system when it put into operation in the earlier stage, I inquire into the model of building station and analyze the case about the model of the providing vehicles and adaptive scope in the period of operation. At last, in order to construct the adaptive Public Transportation System for meeting travel demand in future, I sum up the integration problems on BRT System based on the principle of systematic engineering, and put forward the strategic target on transportation sustainable development in Chengdu. The summary mentioned just now can be referred by the big cities when developing BRT in the nation.
