The seismic performance of prestressed concrete spacial joints are systematically studied in this paper, and also the construction monitoring of the prestressed concrete stand of Shanghai Qizhong tennis center is carried out.The followings are studies in this paper:1. Tests are conducted on four prestressed concrete space joints through low reversed cyclic loading tests for seismic evaluating these joints in Shanghai Qizhong Tennis Center. Attentions are paid to failure patterns, characteristic loads, deformation restoring capacity, shear ductility, stiffness degradation and energy dissipation capacity of prestressed concrete space joints. Effects, such as space loading, restriction of cirque-beams and prestressing on seismic performance of prestressed concrete space joints are intensively analyzed. Studies show that these joints develop relatively high safety reserves, ductility and energy dissipation capacity.2. Full-range finite element analysis conducted on normal reinforced concrete beams, prestressed beams and prestressed concrete space joints under low reversed cyclic loading indicates that the analytical results calculated by ANSYS agree well with the test results.3. A formulation for calculating shear capacity of prestressed concrete space joints is proposed on the basis of space compression strut, space truss, experimental study, finite element analytical parameters and theoretical analysis. This formulation accounts for the effects of loading angle, prestressing, axial compression ratio, unequal beam height on load capacity of these joints.4. Fiber Bragg Grating strain sensor, intelligent concrete sensor and steel bar sensor are used to detecting stresses and deformations of concrete, steel bars and prestressing tendons at the controlled beam sections during concrete casting, tendons tensioning, steel roof hoisting and slippage of the prestressed concrete stand. Observations and investigations indicates that this structure is mainly in elastic range and the stresses at the controlled sections as well as deformations of this structure remain in safety scopes during global construction process.5. Full-range analysis for construction process of this structure by using ANSYS is performed. Analytical results agree well with the test results. The conclusions of the paper have successfully been applied to the engineering...
