The problem construction engineers have to solve firstly is to ensure security in construction and ultimate structural status according with design requirements. Therefore construction control techniques should be adopted during construction. Based on modern control theory and numerical examples, a systemic research on construction control techniques of large-span steel space structures is carried out. The relevant contents are as follows:Construction control is a giant system including many aspects. So the content about Construction control of steel space structures is discussed in detail and the comparison among three kinds of construction control methods in common use is carries on. Also, some corresponding system diagrams are presented to instruct establishment of construction control system.After discussing existing methods of construction simulation, an ameliorated analysis method of cycle-forward is developed, which is based on the method of cycle-forward and ANSYS software. By means of ameliorated analysis method of cycle-forward, the iterative convergent rate is improved, and it's easy to obtain the parameters of ideal status in each step of construction. In addition, geometric shape control is involved to obtain zero-state geometric and ensure the forming shape meet requirements of design.Based on basic principle of Kalman filtering method, the application of this method to construction control of large-span steel space structures is studied. Moreover, Kalman filtering mathematics model for integral lifting of grid structure is established to estimate and predict the status of structure during construction. Some valuable conclusions are drawn, which can be used as a reference for similar projects.During construction, the actual status of structure differs from the ideal status generally. In order to achieve ideal control goal, the matrix method and Kalman filtering method are both applied to optimization control. Through prediction of the status of structure and error analysis, a closed loop control system is set up to direct construction effectively.
