Design And Implementation Of A New Water Resistance System

In locomotive depot, the repaired diesel locomotives can be used only after taking water resistance experiment. The water resistance experiment uses the water resistance as simulation load for locomotives. The experiment can measure the speed of the diesel engine,the voltage of the main alternator,the current of the main alternator, the voltage of the tachogenerator,the current of the tachogenerator etc through adjusting the water resistance and simulating various working conditions. It can judge different parts of the locomotive are right or not and can also judge the control characteristic and power characteristic is whether satisfied requests on the basis of processing of the dates.On basis of physical verification and data analysis to the old style water resistance test platform in Wunan locomotive depot, some deep analysis and discussion to the project of "design of a new water resistance system" have been done. An overall scheme of the new test system that has high automation, high degree of testing accuracy, strong jam-proof ability, more examining parameters, can test many commonly used vehicle types and preserve experimental datum chronically is suggested in this article. According to this project, we finished the new system's software and hardware design.The mechanical part includes locomotor pole plate set, static pole plate set, the lifting set, which changes the water resistance and transfer locomotive's electric current. With the PLC as the core, the hardware part includes the data acquisition module, the data processing and communication module, the industry computer and experimental console. The hardware part mainly completes the system's strong and weak electricity control, gains locomotives' real-time values of each parameter and does respective processing analysis.This system's software part includes two parts, the ladder chart of PLC and the control software of the industry computer. The ladder chart of PLC is written by the PLC's proprietary software. The control software of the industry computer is written by the VB6.0 that produces by Microsoft Corporation.
