The pedestrian protection is one of important problems in passive vehicle safety area, how to reduce pedestrian's injury by improving the automobile's structural design is one of the important aspects in automobile passive security research. It's necessary to establish a suitable pedestrian model in solving this question. In this article, a multi-body system pedestrian model has been established according to the Chinese human body characteristic parameters. Moreover vehicle model and vehicle-pedestrian crashing model have all been established. Using these models, the automobile security has been studied because of the shape and the structure.At first, according to the Chinese human body characteristic parameter, a multi-body system dynamic pedestrian model has been established using the ADAMS software. The vehicle-pedestrian crashing process has been simulated using this model. When establishing the model, the human body is simplified to divide into 16 parts which are defined using rigid body form separately. To simulate the human body's articulation, restraints are used to carry on the connection between the rigid body and the rigid body.Then, the vehicle-pedestrian crashing model obtained the confirmation by comparing with the PMHS data. One simulation was carried on to compare with a dummy impact test; finally the compare is close very much. Thus at the automobile passive security study, especially in the research of improving the automobile front part shape to reduce pedestrian injury, a model tool which can be trust is established.In the vehicle safety field, the human body impact problem cannot be considered using multi-body systems dynamics theory merely. It should consider using finite element theory. Flexible body should be used to solve the big distortion problem and the intense collision. Therefore, in the last part of thesis human head model and motor car engine housing plate has been built with finite element software. The impact effect and the human body damage were calculated with the finite element model using the multi-body systems dynamic data.It is can be seen that this computer module can be trusted; it is suitable for the further research.
