Research On The Design Of The University Libraries In The Process Of Informationization

The library building is one of the building types which most closely relate to the information technology. Nowadays, the society is informationizing and information technology is quickly developing and widely applied. Also the function and the use mode of the College library is largely changed. The library gives priority to collect knowledge and information originally not to exchange information and make information now. Therefore the university library increasingly becomes the best place where the teachers and students pursue the spirit culture living .In China, the college library is in the well development and transformation times, namely in the phase that the traditional library is changing to the modern library. In the transformation process, the meaning of the library is continuously developing and the social function is being continuously enlarged. The popularization and development of the modern electronic technology and computer technology brings a series of changes to the service and the management in the library and directly affects the mode of our country's college library and the design of the library buildings. So the college library need to create a new mode to adapt the development of the information technology. At the same time, it need to make relevant change from the function organization and space to adapt the new situation.The first chapter is introduction. It brings forward the research problems, enters on nalysising the problems and cuts into the research topic; discusses the purpose of the topic research; introduces the research status quo and the level of the domestic and international related theories.The second chapter generalizes and analyses the development and characteristic of the college library buildings, detailedly introduces the development of Chinese college library's informationization and the reason which affects the informationization and makes a good foundation on the college library's Architectural design.The third chapter introduces the definition of information technology and the effect on our living, then introduces the concept and character of the digitization library under its influence, finally summarizes Chinese current digitization library technology's direct influence on the college library mode and architectural design.The fourth chapter analyzes and compares the merit and shortcoming between the traditional library and digitization library and gives some new organization design on the architectural design in the Chinese college library's informationization course nowadays.The fifth chapter basing on the fore chapters, Systematically researches and summarizes the college library buildings in the informationization process. Finally we analyze two cases which are the a library in the Nanjing Pedagogical University's new campus and an administrative building in the Nanjing Chemical Professional Technology College, which rises certain feedback and support effect to the foregoing theory research.
