| With the widespread application of computer information technology in the construction industry, building information modeling(BIM) has become the advanced and practical technology, which plays an important role in the field of engineering construction. BIM is a construction digital simulation system which contains rich data and object oriented, intelligent and parameterized building database. BIM technology uses building components which have real meaning in the computer space to build digital models of engineering facilities, and these building components come from BIM content library. BIM content library is a data system which used for the building component storage and management in the building information modeling. Applications of BIM content library can improve design efficiency, avoid design errors, and make the design more convenient and accurate. With the intensive study and design, there is more and more new information being added into building digital models, and the BIM content library needs more detailed relevant information. Currently, domestic and foreign scholars have done a lot of research about BIM technology, but the research of BIM content library organization and establishment was rarely. According to the development of BIM content library, we combined the existing BIM content library websites of domestic and international with other content library websites to make the research of the organization structure of BIM content library. On the basis of information architecture theory, we studied on the organization systems, navigation systems, identification systems, retrieval systems and other systems of the BIM content library organization structure. Based on the investigation and literature research, we established the BIM content library organization structure system and used the analytic hierarchy process to evaluate it. Depending on the evaluate result and the establishment principle, we found out the optimal organization structure of BIM content library. BIM content library can manage the information of BIM components better, and help users find BIM components more convenient and fast. At the same time, this research can provide theoretical basis for the establishment of the BIM content library website, and manage the knowledge in the field of engineering construction. |
